The service is designed and run by the NHS, so your personal information is safe. It cuts our administrative workload and makes it easier for you to register.

A paper form is still available from reception if you need one.

When you register, it is very helpful to have your NHS number.

UK Armed Forces Veteran Registration

If you have served in the UK Armed Forces or been registered with a Ministry of Defence GP in the UK or overseas and the practice has not been informed of your service, contact the practice to ensure your record is updated.

Registering as a temporary resident

You can register as a temporary resident with a GP surgery for up to 3 months. This can be helpful if you're living away from home but do not want to change your home GP surgery.

To register you'll need to fill out a temporary services form (GMS3), these available from reception desk, 0800 - 1830 Monday to Friday.

After 3 months, you'll have to reapply to register as a temporary resident or become a permanent patient.

You may also be able to register as a temporary resident if you are visiting from abroad.

If your application is refused, you can still receive any treatment you need immediately for up to 14 days.

Accountable GP

From 1st April 2015, practices are required to allocate all patients (including children) with a named accountable GP.

The named GP is responsible for the coordination and delivery of all appropriate services, where required based on clinical judgement, to each of their patients.

  • Patients do not need to see their named GP when they book an appointment with the practice.
  • Patients are entitled to choose to see any GP or nurse in the practice.

Accessing someone else’s information

As a parent, family member or carer, you may be able to access services for someone else. We call this having proxy access. We can set this up for you if you are both registered with us.

To requests proxy access, please collect a proxy access form from reception from 0800 to 1830.

Linked profiles in your NHS account

 Once proxy access is set up, you can access the other person’s profile in your NHS account, using the NHS App or website.
