Repeat Prescriptions
PLEASE BE AWARE that if you are requesting items that do not appear on your 'Repeat Prescription' slip (Acute items) these will take longer than 48 working hours to process as assessment and approval is required by your GP first.
For patients on long-term medication we offer a number of options for ordering repeat prescriptions:
- In person - hand your repeat slip in to reception with the required items clearly ticked.
- By post - send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you. Please allow 1 week for processing.
- Online - You can order repeat prescriptions through the NHS app, or through our own online system SystmOnline Login
- NOT BY EMAIL - We now advise you to use the NHS app as we no longer accept requests via email.
Please note, telephone requests will not be accepted and all new patients must see a GP.
Truly urgent requests will be done as soon as possible. We are not a dispensing practice.
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
