NHS App
The NHS wants to give people better ways to see their personal health information online. We know that people want to be able to access their health records. It can help you see test results faster. It also lets you read and review notes from your appointments in your own time.
We're now letting you see all the information within your health record. If you are over 16 and have an online account, such as through the NHS App, NHS website, or other GP online services and apps, you will now automatically be able to see all future information entered on your medical record. Some people can already access this feature, this won't change for you.
This means that you will be able to see records from your appointments, as well as test results and any letters that are saved on your records. This only applies to records from your doctor (GP), not from hospitals or other specialists, although you will be able to see any letters that hospitals or specialists send to your doctor (GP). You will only be able to see information from 01/11/2023. For most people, access will be automatic, and you won't need to do anything.
Your doctor (GP) may talk to you to discuss test results before you are able to see some of your information on the app. Your doctor (GP) may also talk to you before you are given full record access to make sure that having access is of benefit to you. If you are concerned that seeing your records is not right for you, you should speak to your practice.
These changes only apply to people with online accounts. If you do not want an online account, you can still access your GP health record by requesting this information via reception [or include online option]. The changes also only apply to personal information about you. If you are a carer and would like to see information about someone you care for, speak to reception staff.
The NHS App, website and other online services are all very secure. You’ll need to make sure you protect your login details. Do not share your password with anyone as they will then have access to your personal information.

Missed Appointments
If you are needing to cancel or rearrange an appointment then please get in touch with us.
We understand that sometimes things don't go to plan, and that there are circumstances that mean that a patient may not be able to attend. Please make every effort to give us notice of a cancellation so that another patient can be seen.
Due to increasing demand on our services, it has been identified that a small percentage of patients arrive late to appointments. Unfortunately, arriving late can add further pressure on our staff & clinics. We have reviewed our policy for late attendees and have made the following changes: If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, you may be asked to rebook your appointment.

DNA Report
parkrun Practice
parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. parkrun is 5k and takes place every Saturday morning. junior parkrun is 2k, dedicated to 4-14 year olds and their families, every Sunday morning.

Counselling Services are now available at St Peter's Surgery
For 16 – 45yrs
Would you like to talk to a friendly trained therapist to process your thoughts, feelings, relationships or behaviours?
We offer 6 weekly therapy sessions during surgery opening hours.
Themes of counselling could be - anxiety, stress, low mood, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, loss, loneliness, conflict, anger management, self-worth, image, abuse, relationships, sexuality, gender, suicidal ideation, controlling behaviours, aspirations, self-harm, negative thinking, addiction, suffering.

New option for parents! - NHS Healthier Together App
The NHS Healthier Together app has been designed to allow you to access care for your child much more easily.
If your child is unwell and needs to be seen by a healthcare professional, it can sometimes be difficult to know who to call. This app will walk you through your child's symptoms and help you to understand when a child does and does not need to be seen by a GP. Feedback from many parents who have already downloaded the app shows that they have found it extremely useful.

In the light of corona virus we are aiming to reduce footfall to the practice. We would ask that if you are seeking help for a non-urgent problem or something you don’t need to see a doctor / nurse face to face for (eg any forms / sick notes/ general advice / contraception / blood test requests) you complete an eConsult request.
Please also download the NHS app which will allow you to request all prescriptions on line. In order that you do not have to come to the surgery to collect your prescriptions please ensure you have nominated a pharmacy for electronic prescriptions.
